PROGRESS UPDATE: Have fine tuned some of the mechanics in the game and graphics handling. Much smoother operation than the last video. Please note this is still in development! The turn based battle mode will not be the only form of battle! Turn based is currently like a "Arcade Mode" for the battle system.

Sitting now for 3 years, time is coming to get it back on the road! I haven't opened the hood in 3 years and don't know what's under there (probably mice). When it comes closer to start up this project, you can expect a "opening up" video that will describe and go over the car as well as reveal its true condition after sitting in the desert for 3 years.

This technically isn't a true Datsun, but this line of sports cars from Nissan were originally labeled as Datsun until 1984. This is a 1987 Nissan 300ZX. Slicktop, having a hard top instead of the more commonly seen T-Tops. 3.0L V6 engine, manual 5 speed transmission.

I've owned this car since 2008 and have already restored it once. I daily drove it for 8 years, then got a different vehicle and started driving the Z on my free time. It's come a long way but I got my money's worth from it, but now it's time to resurrect her again.

This will be the next project, just as soon as some of the other projects get further in progress, this will be starting.

The "RPG Series" game, currently in development.

What to know:

ACTUAL NAME TO BE ANNOUNCED. RPG Series is a concept name for a group of PC programs I am designing. RPG Series is a modular retro-like RPG gaming system for Windows PC (hoping to extend out to other platforms in the distant future!) The system will consist of 3 module programs, but a user will only need the core program to play the game, the other two programs will consist of a Hub Bot, for those who may be interested in hosting a RPG Hub, and the other program in the series will consist of a studio-like environment of my own design that will allow users to create custom quests, stories, abilities, equipment, and characters, with a small supply of my own generated images, or they can supply their own.

The core game in the series will feature a story with eventual DLC story continuations, an online mode where users can connect to hubs and interact and play. The Hub Bot and studio environment programs will not be required. The game will allow users to connect to an IRC network, and play together or join a RPG Hub that can be hosted on a IRC Network Channel with the Hub Bot. The Hubs can allow users to join quests, clans or host their own. Hub Bot will include a shop that the bot host can modify so users can get unique in-game shopping experiences at each hub they visit! Also Hub hosts will be able to host tournaments and events on their hubs!

The Game:

Survive. Explore. Fight beasts and go on adventures. Build your character's skills and design and master your path. Level up your characters through battle, and master skill sets by using abilities in a learning tree design. Earn achievements and special content. Connect online and play with other players and match your skills, join and form clans, join quests, parties and hub events.

CURRENT STATUS: ...Long way to go...

Purchased Aseprite so now a lot of the imaging process will be sped up considerably.

Finished coding boundaries (can't walk over objects/npcs, cant walk off map). You can walk around, going to edge of the screen will take you to the next block in the map. Can walk through doors into new rooms and open chests. Still have a lot of the GUI to set up, working on getting the core fundamentals done and building up from there.

Next: Now using Aseprite to make all character images. Working on images for, and coding out, the basic 1on1 battle system that will eventually expand to Duels, Party Battles, Ambushes and Battle Royales.
